Every day the real world faces crisis and pain and because God has given us power and authority to deal with it, He is looking to co-operate with us for solutions. I pray we grasp the value God has for us and grow this year in the knowledge of Him and the magnitude of what He has really called us to do in this life. With gloom and doom preachers attributing every crisis in the world as God's curse upon people, I grieve for those who believe God is that way. I understand that the message I'm preaching is challenging to most Christians. It is so much easier to believe that our problems are a result of a God we haven't quite measured up to or a devil that has somehow kept us in pain. The truth is if we have been given power-it just feels like too much responsibility.
Jesus always moved His disciples to reach for the stars, to believe for the unbelievable, and He held them responsible when it looked like it wasn't working. Modern theology leads us to believe that we have no say in what happens to us (it all happens for a reason) which leaves us most hopeless; questioning why God would allow this. Some people even think God is behind the crisis. Jesus showed us it is possible to stop the storms of life, restore life, and heal the sick but He didn't stop there. He commissioned us to do the same.
My passion is to reach the world with a message of God's love that does not confuse. It is said that people only believe 20% of what you say. They make the rest of their determination off of what you do. Most unbelievers, as well as unbelieving believers, don't know if God loves them because they have been told He is vengeful and hard to keep happy or worse-He is causing your pain in order to teach you something. Last week we ministered in North Carolina and took a team into a local bar to reach local people and try to get them to come to our meeting. It was fantastic and very eye opening. These people were hurting and wanted help but were so afraid of God. Some of the comments indicated they didn't want to make things worse. All they had ever heard was God was angry and was punishing them with pain.
We must get the message out that Jesus came to give us abundant life and that He still proves God's will is heaven on earth. He was known as the friend of sinners and as a very present help in time of need. I want to thank all of you who support our efforts to change the views of society and train believers to prove the will of God by doing what Jesus did and introducing them to a loving Father by the power of His Spirit.

Re: Reaching those that are scared of God
Hi Ron. Thanks so much for this meesage. I know it is true because I had the experience of being at a battered women's shelter and the staff there told me that 90 percent of those women go back to their abusers. Even the abused go back because they 1.) have this twisted thought that they can make it better, that they have made some mistakes and can be better and more pleasing to the other because they love them. 2.) Because they know how bad it could be and they have put up with it before. Not that it is comfortable but because they KNOW what to expect. The unknown is very scary to many. We are funny people. We continue to do the very same thing and get the very same results. What people really don't know is the truth about Jesus and Kingdom. They have no idea that they have a destiny. In fact you start to speak that into their lioves they freak out because you hear them talk about being unworthy and not true about them. We are a product of our environment. We tend to believe what we see - just like you said. Talk is cheap. The parable of the mustard seed is a great one because it reflects, for me, if I could only believe the size of a mustard seed then maybe there is some real truth to all this. It moves my faith to grow. I believe that we are living in a time where we can read the Word and if we attend our imaginations to the freedom that can be had just by believing, I believe that those thoughts will be unleashed and God will show up in ways He has never done before. The fields are full for the harvest. It is written. Thanks for your work. I have been enjoying your book very much. It is teaching me to stand strong. That is a good place to be. Blessings to you and yours, Deb

Re: Reaching those that are scared of God
I think you are going the right direction here. We are always looking to get something from God so that we can do something for God. When the truth is He has already given us what we need as well as the commission. I suppose that if we don't acknowlege that first, we some how try to put that back on God... You know.. the garden thing... The woman you gave me. Never taking responsibility for our own failure just to believe God at His word!

Re: Reaching those that are scared of God
People are scared of God and it breaks my heart. We have got to really spread the word that God loves them. Not only tell them God loves them but they have got to experience that love. If we could have people experience that love every time we told them about his love we will change the world. Because you can not have a real experience of his love and not be changed,it's imposible. Im talking about the kind of love that rose Jesus from the dead. If we can get the world to experince that the rest is a piece of cake.
