Just this side of being a recluse, the truth is most of us are going to have to deal with others. And depending on how we are applauded, accepted and or rejected a false identity can be molded. We begin to lose our self in both the positive and negative of others judgment when we believe it. Recently I watched and interview with Sylvester Stallone. He said the greatest challenge to his identity was that he began to believe his own positive press.
Whether it is positive or negative your public self, your spot light self as one author calls it is as vulnerable as the value you put on what others think of you. I pray that you only have one judgment about yourself. That's what God says about you that you are adored, valuable and worth the highest price ever paid the blood of his own son.
In God’s eyes when he received you as His inheritance He considered Him self rich. That is God's judgment of you, He judged you as right as Christ when you let go of your own judgement and accept His by faith.
Eph 1:15 That is why, ever since I heard of your strong faith in the Lord Jesus and of the love you have for Christians everywhere, 16 I have never stopped thanking God for you. I pray for you constantly, asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you wisdom to see clearly and really understand who Christ is and all that he has done for you. 18 I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can see something of the future he has called you to share. I want you to realize that God has been made rich because we who are Christ's have been given to him!
