Ideas about Real Truth
There are laws of sin and death. There are laws of gravity. There are laws of life in Christ Jesus. There are truths all around us. How do we determine what is the ultimate truth?
As believers we have choices that determine that for us.
No, it does not change “TRUTH”.
But it can change how we perceive truth.
You see, it is reality that every day, all day, twenty four, seven, before us is life and death, blessing and curses.
We have been told by God, to choose between life and death, blessings and curses.
But how does this look in our every day life?
If I answered that question it would be a novel and not a blog.
However I can give an idea for you to think about.
For example
We know that by the stripes that Jesus took on …. We are healed. That was approximately 2000 years ago.
We can in our body be experiencing illness of some sort.
So are we healed or what?
In truth your body is experiencing illness. But the Greater Truth is By His Stripes I am healed.
We make mental assent continually to the word of God.
We say about the Bible; “Yes it is true, every word and I believe it!!”
However our experience is not lining up with the Word of God.
So now what?
Excuse the harshness of this, but, often I see what we do is exchange our doctrine to make up for lack of faith.
One interesting bit used in covering our lack of faith is.. “God caused this illness to teach us something”
. REALLY?
Since when did He come to give sickness? Didn’t he come and pay a price for it? Didn’t He come to get rid of the works of darkness?
REALLY?
I would say at the very least these kind of accusations against God need to be considered in light of the finished work of the cross. Jesus paid a dear price for what we receive so freely.
So the illness may be a truth in the natural. But the greater truth would be… By His Stripes I am Healed!
But,
Whose report will we believe?
Think about this.
Doesn’t faith pull the will of God out of heaven to the right here and now?
Isn’t Thy will be done in earth like it is in Heaven still enforced? I mean, that is what Jesus called for.
Just a thought!
And how do we change this thought pattern?
Repentance (changing ones mind ) is what comes to my thinking.
What about “As a man believes in His heart so is He” or Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks”?
Doesn’t changing things from a heart level seem the way to go?
